One of South Florida's bright lights, the multi-talented frontwoman of A Hunter's Pace Sheila Hafsadi invited me  to attend a rock show/burlesque show fundraiser for Dub City Derby Girls tonight at Respectable Street. I told her that I would be way too tired to attend this sensory-overloading event on the northern boundaries of South Florida's massive expanse, but I did promise to make mention of it. So, here's the 411:

I support roller derby and all things Hafsadi, and it appears that local bands Everymen, Angry Pudding and Bonnie Riot do too. The event starts at 9 p.m. Roller derby girls will wrestle in creamed corn, so you might want to show up for that. Burlesque by Modernesque Burlesque. Door price is $8, and the event it 21+.

L spent last night on the couch with Carl Sagan's Cosmos disc 5. If you've never seen Cosmos, get on it immediately. It's wonderful. What is our place in the universe and why does he call us the stuff of stars? These answers and more. It's rad. We will  probably hit up a show tonight. Possibly  Garo's line-up over at Poor House or Blond Fuzz at Dada.
