The Polynesian Side of Fort Lauderdale

When my uncle said he worked at Mai Kai ten years ago, I had to bring him back to the restaurant.  From the moment we arrived, the hospitality was in comparable.  The valet took our car and we were immediately seated.  As I sipped on my Chocolate Typhoon, a tropical drink of chocolate and strawberries, the entertainment began.  The Polynesian performers and fire-dancers were amazing.  On Sundays, they include a children’s show and allow the kids to come on stage.  It’s perfect for a family-night.

The Oriental menu selection has something for everyone.  I would highly recommend the Singapore Chili Shrimp.  The food and ambiance were more than I expected, but the best part came after dinner.  As I headed towards the back of Mai Kai, there was large, mystic garden.  Taking a walk transports you to a tranquil world filled with flowing waterfalls and assorted greenery.  This place has it all – history, shows, food, drinks, and even a place to take an after-dinner walk.  I highly recommend a visit there.
