I wish that I were South Florida indie rock sensation Surfer Blood (yes, I would want to be the whole band, not just one particular member) so that the Dewars would be opening for me on tour. I wish that I were a Surfer Blood fan in a faraway town so that I could go to the concert with no expectations for the opening band and get my mind blown by the twinsy trippiness of "The Noise Boys". It's kind of like wishing you'd never seen the movie Wonder Boys before so that you could watch it again for the first time. Saying that, I guess the congrats goes to the Dewars for scoring the opening slot on the Surfer Blood tour.
Wow, this pic is super weak, but the dewars look good
On Saturday evening, Chris and I going to the Interpol concert at The Fillmore in Miami Beach. Then, we'll likely pop into Grand Central for hot minute or two before heading over to Churchill's for the Interpol afterparty/The Holy Terrors show. Yes, Tongues of the Heartworm will be there too, so don't go and cry like a little baby. What else is happening this weekend? The Dewars and Evan Mui are playing Dada tomorrow night (Friday). Cool, cool. Bladesong (crazy!), Black Weather Shaman and The Freakin' Hott are playing Propaganda Lake Worth tomorrow. Nice. My buttercup and some dude I've never heard of will be playing solo at Little Munich, so we'll probably migrate back and forth between Prop and Little Munich. Hopefully, Steve Copeletti will be there to make fun of everyone! Aight, I'm in such a big hurry. I really don't know what I'm still doing here. Have a nice day. Bye bye now!
