THANKSGIVING WEEKEND OUTSIDE!

Thursday morning, heavy, low-lying, gray clouds drifted lazily north-ward as they soaked south Florida.  With our bicycles in tow, Keith and I drove south into the rain from Fort Lauderdale all the way down to Miami Metro Zoo.  We were looking for the "white picket fence" which would mean we were near the start of today's race.

Halllloooo. Hope all enjoyed Thanksgiving and didn't take too much abuse from family members. I'm in D.C. for the holiday, and, despite the  miserable weather, I am having a good, chill weekend. I am a little disappointed because I just discovered that I don't have my photos from last weekend's Zombies Organize and Sweet Bronco show at Dada because I saved them to an external drive. Darn. I am so excited to finally have pictures of the fashionable, adorable members of ZO, but I will have to patiently until next week to post them. I hope that I can stand the wait.

Freakin' Hott, Sweet Bronco, To Be Hated

Tonight, the always magnificent The Freakin' Hott and To Be Hated will usher Sweet Bronco into its very first Poor House show. That's superduper cool of them. I can't believe I'm not going to be there. At least I have the pleasure of reading Maggie's blog about losers' big ideas about eating crappy food the day before Thanksgiving. That's a treat.

Obviously, I went to Propaganda in Lake Worth on Friday for a night of comedy and rock 'n' roll. I took a ton of pictures, which you can check out here, if you like.  The Beards of Comedy came down from Georgia to regale us with jokes about Applebees, being fat and out of shape and the sadness of the state of life among people who have a strong preference between Van Halen with David Lee Roth and Van Halen with Sammy Hagar. The audience's amusement peaked when Andy Samburg, one of the four beards, read Wutang Clan lyrics with the voice and in the manner of Morgan Freeman.
