It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday morning in May. I decided that Deacan and I would have an adventure that day, to the Urban Market in downtown Fort Lauderdale.  I hoped that Deacan would become more interested in trying a few new vegetables if he got the chance to pick them out.  So, we packed a picnic blanket and brought our friend Leah along.

Once we reached Downtown Fort Lauderdale, we parked along 2nd Street, near Tarpon Bend and paid the master meter a few bucks.  Then, a short walk towards the river and we found ourselves surrounded by vendors ...
